I want to be a thought

I wanna be a song
Playing along
While these memories scrimmage
All other pages
Of our life.
Will they ever fade away
In eternal dive?

I wanna be a thought
Not to get hurt,
Not to breathe.
Smoke wreathes
Round my ribs.
Why won’t we be together?
Just because we’re apart.
Clouds may gather –
And this ain’t the start.

I took nothing of you today
Only the image of the girl
To whom you now belong
That tore my pain away…

Your slinky gait,
Gaze and a touch…
Yes, I am late –
And this seems too much…

Still I just sit
Bearing this thought
That once I hit –
Like never before –
Up to new heights,
Down to the depth:
No more soul heists,
No heavy breath,
No body weight,
No hungry pain,
No feeling ‘shamed,
No hate-myself.
Body will tame.
Death. As it came.

Why should we stay alive to be?
It’s only you my living needs.
It’s so much more I wanna be.
It’s in my thought where my life seeds.
