It just came to my mind how hard it is to be a celebrity. Just imagine – people admire you, they want to be around, they what you to produce your greatness all the time, they are hungry for something new, they are inquisitive, they want to tear you into souvenirs, you must work hard to quench their thirst for your art. And they never get enough of you. And at the same time they criticize you, they want you to improve quicker than they can find your incentives. And what is the most important they adore you and admire but they are unable to become close with you. They don’t really care if you feel okay today or you’re sick. They don’t really want to hear you cry unless it’s your art. They don’t care if you’re hungry or you are sleepy, or exhausted. They might have cared if they’d think of it but they don’t. They are blinded by your shine.
And if you seek for friendship, understanding or love you won’t find it. Because you’re taken for granted – always shiny, starry, a celebrity. All the people around just enjoy you being around as they’d enjoy a good music in the background of their big merry party. You just come and sit there, you talk, you write, you sing or perform – and it is all for their pleasure. You give in yourself for their love and it is not love they give to you, it is love they take away from you.
And if you try to build a relationship with someone of those who treat you like kind of celebrity all you get is broken dreams and cheated hopes – because no one wants you as a friend or lover, they don’t want you real (with your real problems, drawbacks or advantages they just don’t care about), they want you limited to the polished limited image of a hard-working remote and handy at the same time celebrity.
These were my considerations of the celebrity well-being as it just came to my mind.
