Serendipity

Do you believe in destiny?

The one that makes you bump into things all the time the way that makes you think if that means anything, the one that makes your no sound as if you'd said yes, the one that makes you read the same article twice until you see what's behind the lines, the one that brings you home.

I don't.

We are absolutely independent and all and every single one of our decisions are made just because it bizarrely happens. Nothing is behind it. Not a thing.

I believe in coincidence. I believe that all our life is a stake of coincidences. And it really doesn't matter which turn you take, which person you marry, what job you take - you just simply live and you can change it any second, any minute you choose so.

But sometimes some talented person comes in and makes it all the other way. Someone today made me step one step closer to believing in this power that draws people together. I know it is just because I want to believe in it and my mind won't accept that as true because science is not going to prove that.

And I believe that people act as they do because of their subconscience is making them do some things. Our subconscience is actually more then we believe it to be, it performs miracles to us, we are able to do things we don't really accept as normal and call them outstanding, miracles, we call them fatum or destiny, we get religious. And normally we just analyze all the information we get from the outside and we do conclusions, which lead us to the right decisions - and voila: you get your everyday miracle.

And today these my views were challenged by Peter Chelsom and Marc Klein, who contributed most to the production of the intriguing, captivating, extraordinary, fascinating, absorbing, gripping, delightsome and ravishing Serendipity movie (2001) with absolutely smashing and a bit vulnerable John Cusack and appealingly lovely Kate Beckinsale. First one being the director and the latter - the writer.

So before coming off the spot make a decision of your lifetime - go watch the movie:) And then ask yourself as the producers of the film ask us:

Can once in a lifetime happen twice?
